Condé Nast Names Raul Martinez Corporate Creative Director

A major promotion for Raul Martinez: The design maestro has been named corporate creative director at Condé Nast. Martinez has been design director at Vogue and Vogue.com since 2009.

“With this appointment, he will continue in his role with Vogue and will bring his keen eye and strong vision to help shape the creative focus of the company as a whole,” said Anna Wintour in an internal memo sent out this morning.

Martinez is the co-founder and chief creative officer at AR New York, an ad and branding agency he started with his partne,r Alex Gonzalez, who’s currently the creative director at ELLE and artistic director at Town & Country. AR New York has worked on campaigns for the likes of Jimmy Choo, Estee Lauder, and Valentino; the firm has also done editorial work for glossies including Vogue and Marie Claire.
Martinez kicked off his career at Rolling Stone, and Wintour and Martinez first worked together on the relaunch of House & Garden in 1987.
