For those of you that think Tumi is just for businessmen and travelers, think again. The luxury travel accessories company, known for their long lasting ballistic nylon pieces, has been known to do a cool collab or two, like their fast-selling capsule collection with Opening Ceremony. Plus, creative director George Esquivel lent his sartorial eye to the brand, so there are plenty of buzz worthy projects and designs happening chez Tumi. The brand’s latest collaboration is an exclusive luggage line with ultra chic Parisian retailer Colette. The new line stemmed from the long-standing friendship between Esquivel and Colette’s co-founder, Sarah Andelman.
“Once we learned of his appointment with Tumi, I knew collaborating together would make a fabulous upgrade for our travel bags; we’re thrilled to have this exclusive capsule for colette. Now we’ll have the spirit of Hawaii, with beautiful flowers in our signature Colette blue all around the world!” said Andelman in a statement. Esquivel is also known, of course, for his unique eponymous brand of luxury men’s and women’s handcrafted footwear. The Colette x Tumi collection includes wheeled and hand-held duffels, backpacks, totes, a travel envelope and a matching travel tag. The line launches today exclusively at Colette and will range from €50 to €995. Check it out here!
