Last night Cindy Crawford, OMEGA, and Orbis International debuted a short documentary, entitled Hospital In The Sky, uptown at The New York Historical Society. The brief film chronicles Cindy’s day aboard the Orbis International Flying Eye Hospital in Trujilo, Peru where Orbis brings together eye care professionals and aviators to deliver the gift of sight around the world.

The whole Crawford clan was in town from California to celebrate. It turns out Crawford’s two children, son Presley and daughter Kaia, will be put to work supporting the charity via their rabidly popular social media channels. “You know what, that’s actually a great idea, because there’s that whole selfie campaign with the teddy bear,” Crawford said, referring to successful social campaign orchestrated by several pediatric charities around the globe. “I’m going to make [my kids] go do it! I’m surprised by the whole Instagram thing, though. I don’t even really understand it. I try to get with it, but for kids, it’s like second nature. They do it so easily.” Cindy and husband Rande Gerber prefer other forms of entertainment in lieu of Instagram, especially when visiting New York.  “I try to always eat a good New York pizza,” Gerber told The Daily. “We love just walking around. I’m from New York, so it’s always good to be home.”
