Chloé Spring 2015

by Alexandra Ilyashov

Classically, gorgeously Chloé: such was the Spring outlook in Clare Waight Keller‘s latest collection for the maison. Featherweight frocks in white, like the opening look, paired with delicate pastel gladiators, sounds a bit “been there, done that,” but the results were completely fresh and unapologetically pretty. These numbers were trimmed with the thinnest of spaghetti straps and the filmiest of fabrications, with peekaboo dropwaists and intricately detailed hems one might imagine the daydream-prone Chloé gal to lackadaisically toy around with (when she isn’t dreamily playing with that perfectly undone, center-parted, shiny coifs). Suede shorts suits, dark denim separates, and diaphanous, transparent gowns sporting those ultraskinny straps in deep navy, rust, marigold, and pale blue rounded out the hit-filled collection.  Those final three looks returned to the ethereal, ever-so-Chloé sundresses the show opened with, this time done in very flatteringly draped, incredibly light-looking layers of white or a palest of dove grays, trimmed with large eyelet detailing. Prepare to obsess and pre-order ASAP with this spate of looks, oui?
