Chloé Fall 2015

by Daniel Chivu
The ’70s trend is a natural fit on the Chloé runway, and Clare Waight Keller did it justice. The patchwork pieces that came in a cape-like knit sweater and matching skirt, or done as a long velvet dress, stood out. Plus, there was denim cargo in a jumpsuit worn with a fur vest or on wide leg pants and a denim coat. Military wool coats were also a theme, which looked especially strong as a grey wool cape. There were plenty of peasant blouses and dresses, but on the more rock ‘n’ roll front there was a yellow snakeskin dress and a pair of shorts in the exotic skin. Sizzling! But back to the outerwear: A floor-sweeping plaid coat and a shearling coat that was almost all shearling save for some leather on the pockets and collar were serious standouts.
