Chanel Resort 2016

by The Daily Front Row

For Chanel’s latest far-flung Resort adventure, Karl Lagerfeld brought a bright, playful spate of looks to Seoul, sprinkled with plenty of those signature tweeds. For this exotically-located occasion, tweed often got the Technicolor treatment, silhouetted in trim, boxy shapes. Punchy patterns abounded, with a variety of candy-hued stripe-y looks and piped solid frock and jacket combos. Quirky touches of patent leather and bits of lace were also in the mix, and massive mounds of braided noir hair, which nodded to Korean coif traditions, accessorized the mods, along with boxy-toed, chunky-heeled kicks and plenty of jewelry.
