Chanel Morsels: Front Row Intel, Faux Protesters, And More!

Let’s get some things out of the way first…Kim and Kanye were not there. Kris Jenner was. Kendall walked. Moving on…The Chanel show at the Grand Palais in Paris was held today and the front row, and production is nearly as entertaining as what the Kaiser sends down the runway. This year, there were no superstars like Jennifer Lopez, who we spotted in 2012 with daughter Emme (which generated, naturally, a mob of photographers) while that Kanye West guy went virtually unnoticed and chatted away with the American press before the show started. Those were the days. This year’s superstars were the mods: Gisele Bundchen, Gigi Hadid, and Cara Delevingne walked the runway. The front row consisted of the usual Chanel suspects like Poppy Delevingne, Alexa Chung, and Leigh Lezark, plus Baz Luhrmann and wife Catherine Martin, Patrick Demarchelier, and Theophilus London gave the front row some variety. (What does that Theophilus London do again?Mods closed the show walking down the faux-street with a faux-feminist protest carrying signs (mostly in English) that said things such as ‘History Is Her Story’, ‘Ladies First’, and ‘Be Your Own Stylist’ with Gisele on a megaphone. Never a dull day in Chanel Land. Scroll through our Gallery to see who wore what, who sat next to who, and what Karl has up his sleeve for Spring.
