The iconic Petrossian family convenes every few months for a private tasting of its latest offerings, and at the recent gathering, they invited gastronomic superstar David Rosengarten to join them. His selections are then specially jarred and refrigerated until they reach peak condition. And this season’s result is a delicious white sturgeon raised in California with a complex nutty and buttery taste (think Osetra) rumored to rival the best of the Caspian Sea. Plus, each jar is packed to order and will arrive the very next day. Surely this is a chic stocking stuffer if there ever was one!
