What Brought Anna Wintour Down South?

High style goes south! This week, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) founder and president Paula Wallace welcomed Anna Wintour, Annette de la Renta, Erika Bearman, Bryanboy, and a small, chic crowd hit up the first posthumous exhibition of Oscar de la Renta’s work, comprised of 50 sumptuous dresses curated by Andre Leon Talley at the SCAD Museum of Art, which won the American Institute of Architect’s highest award for design last year. The party was a fundraiser for the museum. We’re told that before the guests arrived, there was a private (and undoubtedly emotional) walk-through of the exhibition by Wintour, Annette de la Renta, Leon Talley, Wallace and a small group. The room included a large “O” for Oscar made of roses above an archway. “With Oscar de la Renta, you always felt life was lived in the sun,” ALT said. “He loved his family and filled life with beauty from his gardens, his collections, paintings and music.
