Boss Spring 2016

by The Daily Front Row

The Hugo Boss woman is all about being well…the boss, and this collection aimed to please. It was about form and function and was inspired by the ideals of the Bauhaus. There were precision-cut dresses, micro-pleating, and organza forms in mostly solid colors or black and white. But there was also fringe, soft florals, and a few flowy dresses.

The best pieces were the most austere of the collection. This is a German brand after all. A structured organza white dress that almost looked inspired by a nurse’s uniform, a long off-white vest with matching tailored crop pants, a white pleated dress with a simple tan belt detail were all the must-haves. And that severe off the shoulder black pencil dress? To die for.
