Booze On The Bowery: Pat Field Hosts Dinner For Pavan Liqueur

by The Daily Front Row

Last night, a handful of media folk sat down to a dinner for Pavan liqueur with uber stylist and costume designer Patricia Field, just a few doors down from her iconic Bowery Street store. The evening started off with intimate chatter between Field and Pavan’s creative director, Stefanie Marco as they discussed their love for the liqueur as well as Field’s namesake store. The award winning costume designer shared many stories about the store’s current Bowery location, which actually used to be the site of her old apartment and the setting for her now-defunct monthly dinner parties. While the costume designer is more than happy in her new pad, her cat preferred the old location. The feline, which is the resident store host, has fallen into the habit of cozying up to customers as they peruse the shop’s funky wares. Over the three-course meal, Field discussed the single miserable year she spent in Los Angeles, how she has seen the American style of dressing reach the far corners of the world, and even her love of Shelter Island.

What is Field’s favorite dish to whip up for dinner guests? Boiled beets with sautéed beet greens, which she boasted even the most picky of eaters have enjoyed! Of course the stylist had a strong opinion on how she prefers her beverages, which she admitted is due to many years of drinking experience. Field preferred her Pavan on the rocks while other guests enjoyed the muscat grape and orange blossom-infused liqueur mixed with vodka, tequila, and even Earl Grey tea. And yes, it was a fun, boisterous, and boozy night for all! Click here to see more pictures from the dinner.
