Behold: Diamond-Encrusted (!!) Heels For A Mere $419,423

by The Daily Front Row

Cinderella, eat your heart out! New Zealand-based footwear designer Kathryn Wilson has created the most expensive pair of heels on earth. Just how expensive? The kicks are valued at $419,423, at current exchange rates. While Wilson normally creates shoes for around $300, these pumps are encrusted with 21.8 carats of diamonds, which were each hand-placed with tweezers and what we hope was some very strong adhesive. Created in partnership with Sarah Hutchings of Auckland’s Orsini Fine Jewelry for a charity auction benefitting the Ronald McDonald House, these diva-worthy stunners aren’t exactly readily accessible to lovers of gaudy footwear among us. And while that’s a lot of bling for the buck, we’d rather have all of those diamonds around our neck. Right?
