It’s the grand dilemma of summer: Do you bare your skin, or protect it? The latest, greatest derm treatments, potions, and body-shaping miracles are designed to let you have it all, at a price that seemingly all of Hollywood is quite happy to pay.

BLOOD CREAM (YES, LIKE MADE WITH BLOOD)
Invented by German orthopedic surgeon Barbara Sturm, M.D. (her full line of upscale products is sold on Net-A-Porter), it’s top of the list of creams beloved by celebs and models. Custom-made, it requires drawing blood, spinning the plasma, and mixing it into the cream. The theory: mixing hyaluronic acid with blood plasma proteins makes the plumping properties last much longer. “I invented this for myself with my pharmacist,” Dr. Sturm says. “And it’s not just for plumping. My pores are tighter, my skin tone much more even.” They have big freezers of the stuff at her HQ in Dusseldorf. “It’s only available in one of our clinical settings. Actors are obsessed. I wear it under my makeup all the time.”

EARLY ADOPTERS
Ben Stiller pushed it on a red carpet at a movie premiere. Two major male stars over 40 have it FedEx’ed in for constant use, night and day. Alana Stewart and daughter Kimberly Stewart, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Jada Pinkett Smith have all talked about it.

THE DOWNSIDE
It’s $1,400—and you have to get a needle in the arm.

ESCARGOT SKIN TREATMENT
Using an animal-derived growth factor from a snail in Spain, this stuff accomplishes skin resurfacing with no downtime—helpful for hyper pigmentation, fine lines, wrinkling, large pores, and neck lines. “It’s great for acne scars too,” Dr. Kopelson says. Delivered via micro-needle, it’s a good bet one week out from a big event.

EARLY ADOPTERS
Actresses young and less young. Hint: 30-year-old actresses, actors, and models seem particularly partial to this treatment.

THE DOWNSIDE
Redness. And, alert: You can’t wear makeup the day or evening you do it.

THE SUN-DEFYING LASER FACIAL
The Illumino Biocellulose Laser Facial by Dr. David Colbert is a mouthful for a reason: It combines Lasergenesis (collagen toning) with a sheet face mask (specifically the Illumino brightening anti-aging biocellulose mask), red LED light, and a cooling, tightening cryogenic mist. Even with all that, you can head to lunch or tennis straight from the treatment.

EARLY ADOPTERS
No names, please, but Colbert devotees are known to include Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz.

GIMME
NY derm to the stars, and founder of the NY Dermatology Group, Colbert invented this treatment and will be performing it at Knockout Beauty, Cayli Cavaco Reck’s pop-up Bridgehampton beauty emporium, several times throughout the summer. “All season long we are bombarded with the intensely hot, aging rays of the sun,” says Dr. C., who asked himself: “What can we do to keep the damage at bay? How can we have our cake and eat it too?”

THE DOWNSIDE
Is there one? Maybe the thousand-dollar price tag…

THE NEW DOUBLE-CHIN CURE
Recently FDA approved, Kybella is the first injectable that “melts” fat. “It destroys fat cells, and it’s now specifically approved for the small fat pocket under the chin,” says Dr. Kopelson, who notes that it’s more effective than Coolsculpting and is currently being tested on other areas of the body that hold on to small pockets of fat. Think: “Above the knees, in the bra strap area of the back.” Name your personal obsession.

EARLY ADOPTERS
Male Hollywood execs and NYC Wall Streeters, and the husbands of famous women who insist they do it. “I got hard as a rock all over after losing body weight,” says one CAA agent who recently lost 40 pounds. “But my chin still looked soft. I couldn’t believe how easily this worked.”

THE GOLD STANDARD OF BODY CONTOURING
It’s SculpSure. And even its fat melting laser’s applicator is gold, with a sapphire crystal, befitting Brentwood’s medispa Beauty Park’s golden clientele. FDA-cleared for use on the flanks and abdomen—but employed on a variety of other areas—the light-controlled high-intensity technology heats and cools the layer of fat just underneath the skin to destroy it in a few treatments (sometimes just one will do) that take 25 minutes.

EARLY ADOPTERS
Beauty Park’s Jamie Sherrill will be featured doing SculpSure treatments on the makeover contestants on Khloé Kardashian’s new E! show Revenge Body, which airs in early 2017.

THE HIDDEN HAIRLINE FACE-LIFT
Sherrill has invented and trademarked what she called “the Hidden Filler Technique,” using the new Juvederm Volbella, and it’s become the medispa’s most requested treatment by its celebrity clientele. She injects the filler deep into the hairline for a hidden lifting treatment that can be done the day of an event for about $500.

PLUS! MEET THE SKIN WHISPERER
SoCal-based LeAine Dehmer might be the world’s only facialist/healer hybrid. Her four-hour-long facials ($250–$450, not including products) work on emotional trauma and psychological pain through pores, and touch/talk. “You’ve got to let your soul out of bondage, even if it’s through the pores,” Dehmer says. “I can tell when your father left home or you were traumatized in early life just by touching your skin.” Her wait list is five months long, so the timing’s perfect for your post-summer blues.
