Aquazzura Issues Statement on Its Lawsuit Against Ivanka Trump

by Kristen Heinzinger

Following Aquazzura’s lawsuit against Ivanka Trump that alleges she copied one of its popular designs, Aquazzura’s CEO Jean-Michel Vigneau released an official statement:

“Aquazzura is a young company that puts our heart and soul into our designs. We have brought this suit to protect the integrity of our designs, our hard work and to avoid consumers from being deceived. If a company is allowed to use designs that they did not create which consumers recognize as Aquazzura, then the original designs are compromised. We are confident that the law will not allow the type of copying that we have seen here.”

The design in question bears a striking resemblance to Aquazzura’s “Wild Thing” signature design. The release goes on to say that it “will not tolerate confusing imitations in the marketplace.” Camp Ivanka has yet to respond…stay tuned!

That’s ridiculous. I could copy any dress in any store. I’m that good. They are just picking on her cause she is a Trump!

Let’s try this again because the last one was deleted by the fashion police lol!
No surprise here it’s done every day in the fashion industry! From the high end designers to the lower end everyone is “inspired” by each other. Aquazzura designs beautiful shoes no doubt about it! The “Wild Thing” style is a sexy, fun and colorful shoe but not everyone can afford the $785 price tag. First of all, this is a licensee, Ivanka Trump is not cobbling shoes behind the scenes! That’s where brands like Ivanka Trump, Steve Madden, Joie and Vince Camuto come in and are great! Consider it the most sincere form of flattery because the high end shoe buyer is not purchasing those brands! The only reason this is news is because of the Trump name! Sorry folks, this is no big deal
