Aerin Lauder Toasts Her Humble Abodes

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) As far as book signing parties go, Aerin Lauder showed fellow authors the proper way to do it yesterday. Perched above Fifth Avenue in Bergdorf Goodman’s seventh floor BG Restaurant, Lauder greeted guests who were eager to snatch up her first tome, Beauty At Home. In a room dotted with coral peonies (personally selected by Lauder), attendees nibbled on mini truffled grilled cheeses while flipping through the home design book. The author signed copies for friends and followers, such as Michael Kors, Veronica Swanson Beard, John Demsey, Kelly Klein, Linda Fargo and a few fellow Lauders: Leonard, Ronald, and William.

The book, which subtly complements Lauder’s AERIN home accessory collection, gives readers a glimpse onto the author’s Manhattan apartment, Hamptons abode, and Madison Avenue workspace. With elegant details that are reminiscent of her grandmother, Estée Lauder, the book also includes recipes culled from a childhood spent with the legendary makeup maven. “My dressing room reminds me the most of my grandmother,” Lauder explained. “That room is my feminine escape with my whole closet and dressing table. Everything in it is very special.” And très chic, we’re sure!
