A Slew Of Condé Nast Switch Ups Include GQ And Lucky

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Condé Nast is having quite a Monday with a number of shakeups announced today. Brendan Monaghan announced his resignation from GQ after 11 years with the magazine and 13 years with Condé Nast. Monaghan was most recently associate publisher, but has also put in time as advertising director, executive director, and wine and spirits director at the glossy, as well as a two-year stint as the L.A. manager of Vogue. Monaghan announced that he will be joining the New York Times as the vice president of luxury as well as taking on the role of publisher at T: The New York Times Style Magazine.

Also switching up their masthead today is Lucky magazine, which has had quite a few changes since Eva Chen took over as editor-in-chief. Carlyne Cerf de Dudzeele has been tapped as the fashion editor at large for the publication, following the stylist’s work on Chen’s first cover for the mag. Cerf de Dudzeele was also responsible for styling the cover of Anna Wintour’s first issue of Vogue back in 1988. The position will allow the stylist to continue her side projects, which have most recently included consulting for Jeremy Scott and styling for other commercial brands.

Another change at Lucky includes former design director Lisa Steinmeyer’s departure. She has been replaced by Katia Kuethe, who just ended a short stint at Kate Spade. Prior to working as the senior director of creative for the brand, Kuethe was the creative director at Teen Vogue, coinciding with Chen’s time spent as the beauty director for the publication. Are more staff switch-ups in store? Don’t count on it: Chen tells WWD that all the big changes have already been made.
