CFDA {Fashion Incubator} label A Peace Treaty has announced a special collaboration for the W Hotels of Chicago (both Lakeshore and City Center). Dana Arbib, creative director and designer of A Peace Treaty, designed a chic handmade silk robe that will be carried exclusively in the hotels just in time for Lollapalooza. The robe’s rounded design was inspired by Chicago’s iconic corn-cob buildings, Marina Towers. A Peace Treaty, for those not in the know, employs the best old-world textile and jewelry masters from the Andes and the Himalayan Valleys to the deserts of South Asia and beyond.A Peace Treaty’s global design efforts have received accolades and invitations from the White House to the World Bank.“I drew inspiration from the iconic elements of Chicago: the print reflects the iconic architecture of the city, and the blue Indian silk flows like the Chicago River, through the heart of the town,” said Arbib. “Just like Lollapalooza, this luxe robe is a throwback to the classic, rock and roll icons of yesterday, yet created for the rockers and rollers of today.” The limited-edition robe for the W Hotels of Chicago was printed by hand and hand-sewn. It will retail for $295 and will be available via W Hotels The Store online starting tomorrow. The collaboration is part of the W brand’s ongoing global partnership with the CFDA {Fashion Incubator} program.
